Lennar To Build In Marietta, Georgia

Lennar Corp. has acquired land at the unfinished Caswell Overlook subdivision in Marietta, according to the builder’s Web site. Lennar will likely announce its plans for the site soon, as building is expected to start this summer. Miami-based Lennar announced in January a move to the Atlanta market but didn’t say where it would build. Industry-watchers expected the company to take advantage of the many distressed and half-built communities in Atlanta. The Lennar site says new three-bedroom, 2.5 bathroom homes with a two car garage will be $166,990 to $169,990. Builder Magazine has ranked Lennar among its top five builders since at least 2002. Lennar Sales Successes Lead To Sell-Out Of Five Communities In Tampa Bay Region

The Central Florida division of Lennar has been very successful in Tampa the past several months and recently announced that five of its communities in the Tampa Bay region will be sold out over the next 60-90 days. Mark Metheny, president of Lennar’s Central Florida Division, said only one home remains for sale priced at $180,900 at Heritage Isles in New Tampa. Only nine home sites remain for sale at Cedar Crest in Lakeland. At Avalon in Spring Hill in Hernando County, only 18 home sites remain for sale. Only 19 home sites remain for sale at Creekside in Mulberry in Polk County. Only 22 town homes remain for sale at Summerfield Town Homes in Riverview. [Read this article] Read more
