There’s a tax credit for everyone this time around and the Minneapolis/St. Paul division of Lennar, one of the strongest names in the homebuilding industry and the #1 homebuilder in the Twin Cities, wants to make sure every prospective homebuyer takes advantage of this historic opportunity.

The new legislation signed into law provides an extended and expanded version of the homebuyer tax credit opportunity that was previously scheduled to end at the end of the month. First-time homebuyers now have through April of next year to take advantage of the up to $8,000 tax credit. Plus, the new legislation also includes existing homeowners who can receive a tax credit of up to $6,500 provided that they have owned their current home for at least five consecutive years during the last eight years prior to the new home purchase.
