Lennar is rolling back the clock in August to give its active adult customers a “Sixties Experience” in keeping with a month-long celebration of 40 years of developing “Greenbriar” communities in New Jersey.

The exciting promotion, which affects customer incentives, Welcome Home Centers, New-Home Consultants and supporting marketing programs, also commemorates the 55th Anniversary of Lennar, America’s second largest homebuilder.

“’Greenbriar’ pioneered active adult living in New Jersey when U.S. Home founded the brand in 1969 and Lennar carries the torch today, continuing to set the standard in creating a lifestyle unmatched by anyone in the industry,” states Don Bompensa, President of Lennar’s New Jersey Division, based in Freehold.

“It is a four-decade tradition of excellence and value that has created a portfolio of homes which has transformed the Garden State’s active adult housing market and reflects Lennar’s continued commitment to active adult living in New Jersey.  Thus, we have decided to recreate the ‘60s for our customers, allowing them to travel back in time – sharing memories with other buyers while also allowing them to experience how wonderful it is to live in one of our active adult communities.”

During the month, Lennar will decorate all Greenbriar Welcome Home Centers in 1960s fashion.  New Home Consultants will also dress up in traditional ‘60s attire, while advertising and other promotional vehicles will support the overall theme.

“While the program will last all month,” Mr. Bompensa points out, “we’ll hold a special event on August 15th — the 40th anniversary of the first day of Woodstock — which will be marked by refreshments and entertainment at every Greenbriar Welcome Home Center.”

In addition to the nostalgic fun of the program, buyers will also benefit from significant incentives throughout the month which will vary by community.  Lennar executed a thorough analysis of each community to develop a comprehensive benefit program, ranging from “dirt sales” and extended deliveries to quick occupancy.  New Home Consultants at each of the communities can provide more details on the ‘60s program and the dramatic opportunities that will be available.

“I can honestly say that, in most cases, some of these incentives are more significant than any we have ever offered before — not because market conditions dictate that we do — but because we want the combined Greenbriar/Lennar anniversaries to translate to a tremendous benefit for our buyers,” Mr. Bompensa asserts.  “As for prices, it’s hard to imagine that they could ever be lower.”

Currently available in Lennar’s celebrated Greenbriar collection of active adult communities are:

Greenbriar Oceanaire in Waretown, 1,400 single-family homes on 888 rolling acres just north of Long Beach Island where Lennar recently released some of its most desirable homesites at the award-winning community.  The new release includes the last of the community’s “Par” lots — homesites which do not offer golf or wooded views and therefore have no premiums added to the base price.

Approximately 400 residences remain available for sale at Greenbriar Oceanaire. The community’s luxurious housing layouts feature seven ranch-home designs priced from the $300,000’s, with some homes including lofts.  The impressive amenities include an Arthur Hills-designed, 18-hole championship golf course and a magnificent 38,000 square-foot clubhouse offering indoor and outdoor pools, tennis and boccie courts, a fully equipped fitness center/spa, game rooms, library, computer and craft rooms and a grand ballroom.

At Greenbriar Stonebridge, a community of 946 single-family residences in Monroe Township, Lennar recently unveiled the results of an “extreme makeover” of the active adult community’s model homes and Welcome Home Center.   The dramatic new changes include the introduction of a new model and floorplan, a number of significant improvements and upgrades to the existing homes’ structural and interior living spaces, and the availability of walking tours through the community’s new “Twin” designs which are priced from the $200s, as well as certain locations with extended deliveries up to one year.

Homes range in size from 1,659 to 3,130 square feet of living space.  Nine distinctive designs are available, including some with loft options.   The community features a 42,000 square-foot clubhouse — the largest in an active adult community in the state of New Jersey – which features a grand ballroom, theater room with stadium seating, billiards room, state-of-the-art fitness center, indoor swimming pool, two-story great room, card room, computer center and meeting rooms.  Outside, residents will enjoy a resort-style pool and expansive sun deck and tennis courts.

Greenbriar Fox Ridge comprises 336 luxury condominium residences In Rockaway Township, offered at prices starting in the $200s – virtually unheard of and possibly never to be seen again.  The community’s distinctive one- and two-bedroom, single-level layouts — located in elevator buildings with secured underground parking – range in size from 979 to 1,997 square feet of living space.

Lennar has begun giving Hard Hat tours of Greenbriar Fox Ridge’s 16,000 square-foot clubhouse which is currently under construction and expected to be completed in the fall.  The clubhouse will feature a fitness center, outdoor swimming pool, social rooms and a tennis court.

Aside from its” Greenbriar” communities, Lennar is also developing several all-age communities, including Cedar Point at Mays Landing, 173 single-family homes located near the Hamilton Mall in Atlantic County; Centreplace at Edison, 198 garden-style condominium homes; and Creek Run at Woolwich, single-family homes and homesites  located 30-to-40 minutes from Philadelphia and Wilmington.
